My limbs hang lifeless and I can't lift my chin up to see my own reflection. I feel beaten down by all that is around me. I want to scream. I do, and it is within my own head. my eyes show no wear, but my throat is sore from silent torture. i hear nothing. I listen. but i hear, nothing. there are no sounds to quench my thirsty ears. even my own heartbeat...a phantom. but it pounds behind my eyes. and it pulses in my lips. i am beaten down and down and down and down and down and down by the darkness.
